I studied to be a Structural Integrator at the Soma Institute of Structural Integration in 2007.  Shortly after graduation, I was blessed to start an internship with Soma’s then Director, Karen Bolesky. Karen was not only a Structural Integrator but a psychotherapist, mental health counselor with an in-dept experience in psychological and somatic training. We worked in tandem with clients and dived into the heart of structural psychosomatic work. My time with Karen has gifted me with self-awareness, emotional unpacking, group explorations, and trauma work. I got to own my behavior patterns and pulled out my power I had smothered within. I began the Soma teacher training in 2009, then became a lead instructor and their anatomy and physiology teacher for 13 years. I also had the wonderful opportunity to be a guest pathology teacher for the former Guild for Structural Integration.

Due to my own pelvic health, I took my experience and education and created an external pelvic floor manual therapy program, “Reclaiming the Pelvic Floor”. I travel the nation to teach this program to help spread pelvic floor dysfunction awareness and the trauma work.

In helping to advance the profession of Structural Integration, I have volunteered many years to the International Association of Structural Integration® (IASI). I’ve held multiple positions from President, Vice President, member of the Board of Director, and law and legislation, and current role is Chair of the Education Committee where I helped create educational standards for Structural Integration programs.
